I was very lucky to get the most amazing peonies, which opened up to be these full fluffy pink pillow creations. Bigger than my head and appropriately named ‘Dinner Plate’, these were the star of the show!
Other key ingredients were eucalyptus to achieve that full bouncy effect and most importantly that soft green, which is perfect for summer bouquets. White limonium for texture and because I love it, and not forgetting the super cute peach avalanche rose with tiny sprays of jana rose. These opened up perfectly in the warm air while still holding their shape, which can always be a real obstacle when using roses.
I find that my most favourite and successful bouquets are achieved when I get to play with colour and texture. I think all summer bouquets should be bright, fun and a little wild – like your perfect summer evening!
