Inspired by the “Golden Goddess” feel of these divine Bespoke Weavings, I wanted to play with textural whites, and caramel, warm-golden tones in a flowing feminine form.
A life cycle is captured in this floral journey, from the young fresh, delicateness of the spring foxglove and sweet pea… to the foliages that dried last summer. I wanted the florals to flow into the weaving, almost like they grew there. Those bunny tails picking up the fluffy textures in the weaving are one of my favorite design elements of this work. I tried to keep this installation as true to the “Golden Goddess” vision, but of course, that pink hollyhock growing just out the window from our installation sneaked its way into our indoor garden scape.
