I am so pleased that foliage is back in favour. For a while there couples seemed to side step the choice to have foliage as a part of their wedding designs.
To me foliage is a way of portraying the season, from the striking reds and gold for autumn to the dusky, grey greens that can make a winter scheme. The foliage also allows designs to have more movement and creates space for the blooms, so each one has it’s moment to shine. I love using nandina and maple for their unique shapes and the way they rustle when they move. Keep an eye out for brides choosing all foliage bouquets this season.
