I am so pleased that foliage is back in favour. For a while there couples seemed to side step the choice to have foliage as a part of their wedding designs.
Katie brought a piece of fabric to our consultation; the print that would become one of her bridesmaid’s dresses. From there we worked out a pallet of colours for her flowers – deep burgundy, yellow, light green, champagne and white.
I recently took a trip north of Auckland to a protea farm ran by a local pharmacist. The farm itself was chaotic and a little run down but the variety of proteas made up for it…..
Autumn doesn’t always have to be all orange and red. Often the dahlias are just finishing but at their best, leaves are turning from green to yellow and there is a second flush of Spring perennials such as bishops flower….

With wedding season in full swing I will normally have Friday and Saturday weddings and the odd Sunday one too. Summer seasons are a bit like that.
