We met by chance in 2013. I was living in New York and had been sent to Hong Kong on a two-week business trip. I met Carteneil, who lived in Hong Kong, only three days after I arrived and knew immediately that I needed to extend my trip.

A pair of architects turned photographers, Heidi and Ryan co-created Forged in the North, a wedding photography studio in Brooklyn, New York. Together, they travel the world shooting love stories.

We first met in 2003 during our first year at the University of Auckland. I was dating someone else at the time. Nothing happened until two years later, when I saw Josh at a birthday party and he sent a friend over to ask if I was single. Fortuitously, this time I was.
Candle of the week – Tom Dixon Oil candle at Simon James Design
Legendary product designer Tom Dixon has created a beautiful and unusual container that reflects a petrol-like sheen, and has melting edges and soft dents in it.
