Tell us about Punawaitai Station and where you are situated?
Punawaitai Station is a coastal hill country farm, we are a private secluded out of the way place where you can create your dream wedding, big or small, providing every amenity available; beach front accommodation for all your family and guests, experienced international chefs, caterers, marquees, tepees and floral designers, wedding/event planners, photographers, all within an hour or less of our venues. Punawaitai means “Salt Water Spring”, this bubbles out of the ground further up the valley and then meanders back down through our gardens to the sea.
Exploring another dimension of flora. We take a close look at the ethereal dried blooms created by the hands of MarkAntonia. Textural dried petals in a palette of faded pastels convey a feeling of nostalgia. A more subtle and long lasting floral option. A keepsake and a work of sculptural art.
We live in Melbourne where Christian has two restaurants, ‘Embla’ and ‘The Town Mouse’. I work as an illustrator and have an illustration agency called ‘Use New Art’ (see following artist profile in this issue). Our working lives don’t overlap that much and so when we spend time together it feels really special. We seem to enjoy doing the same things when we are not working – which is mostly eating, drinking or otherwise being lazy – and in between we give each other a lot of insight and understanding from our quite different experiences of the world.
