Magdalena — Jorge is from Angola, I’m from Germany, and we live together in Cape Town, where we met a few years ago. We both share a love for the city we chose as our home, and spend our weekends at the beach, wine tasting, hiking and eating out.
To get our guests to interact and mingle we printed each guest a task on their menu to do throughout the night, this was anything from doing a shoey out of the groom’s shoe to taking a shot with someone you just met.
We sat down on one of the bridges and talked about our future, and how we wanted to get married and have children one day. It was definitely a defining moment for us and our relationship. We might have also been abducted by aliens soon thereafter, but that’s another story for another time.
