“I couldn’t stop dreaming of flower hats and romantic red flowers – I had to get it out of my system!
Luckily I have amazing, beautiful friend (@rubycomption) with a killer wardrobe (dress by Zimmerman)! I grabbed a hat and sunnies (Kmart!) and we cruised down to the cactus garden in the botanic gardens to capture this images. I’ve always had a fear of red roses but I wanted to try mixing them with some of my favourite natives – Venus protea (the queen!), burgundy leuks, speckled pink wax and foraged tea tree. I have an obsession with texture so dried flowers and interesting foliages are in everything I create. The two toned carnations bring it all together in a massive bouquet that makes a statement!!
