When I dropped him home from our first date, there was something in the pit of my stomach telling me that he was a special kind of character and someone I could see myself having an amazing life with - and I was right because he still makes my cheeks hurt from laughter to this day.
We did long distance for a couple of years and if I had to choose the moment when I knew Jacob was the one, it would be when he picked me up from the airport in Dallas in the early hours of the morning wearing the same onesie pyjamas he’d worn to the party where we met.
Then I read ‘will you marry me?’ and looked at Vincent and he was already down on one knee with the ring in his hands. It’s still a blur but I remember being so shocked that I started laughing and left him hanging down there for a good 30 seconds haha!

Our vision for the styling was colourful and modern, we wanted to make the most of the beautiful scenery at the McCallum Residence but turn it up a notch with lots of bright colours. An aspect of our wedding which was so special was all the little touches that our family and friends helped with, both in the lead up and on the day.
He managed to buy a ‘ring in’ ring from a market in Peru and popped the question in the most epic place ever – at the end of our 4 day hiking the Inca Trail, at Machu Pichu. I was a bit delirious after the long hike and didn’t know what was going on until hundreds of people around us started clapping and cheering.
I noticed a picnic table with a basket full of food and champagne set up beautifully and as I turned to Nick, he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him with my beautiful ring in his hands.
"I wanted timeless and simplicity all around. I wanted to be able to look back in 50 years, and love all of my choices."
“Till the sky meets the sea” which is not a quote I had said to Brendon but when I heard it, given how much we love the ocean, it made me instantly think of my love for him and how it will never die despite life’s challenges. So I had it embroidered onto my veil and explained it to Brendon in my vows...
"We said our goodbyes on Sunday and promised to see each other again soon with no real plan. I made it back to Charleston that evening and texted Jeff to see when he was heading out to Missouri. Low and behold a few hours later, there Jeff was on my doorstep. He drove two hours in the opposite direction to see me again before leaving and that was it."
I was about to get on the train to the airport when I was accosted by a stranger – it turned out to be Ben! I was so surprised! He asked me to be his partner in life that night, looking over the harbour.
Caroline -Fabio and I live in St. Gallen, Switzerland. I work as a consultant in an advertising agency and Fabio works for a big train manufacturer. We love the outdoors, travelling, food and wine and I have an obsession with interiors and beautiful things.
