Izia Eau de Parfum by Sisley

We were recently introduced to a select range of products when the SISLEY team came to Auckland. One of the stand-out items for us was the Izia Eau de Parfum which is a beautiful fragrance built around a particular Rose with a very unique scent. The Rose behind this fragrance only blooms for a short time, and only once a year.

Its best described as having an airy, floral heart anchored by the warmth of a woody base and softened with musks.

The top notes are white Bergamot, Pink Pepper and Aldehydes. We then move onto the middle notes which consist of Rose d’Ornano accord (Peer), transparent floral accord (Jasmine, Peony, Lily of the Valley) and Angelica. Then finally the base notes are made up of Cedar, Amber accord and Musks. A sophisticated and appealing mix.

It’s a modern and multi-faceted new fragrance which can be worn for day or evening. And we adore this gorgeous mini canister which is perfect for travel or to keep inside your handbag. Our editor Greta who is not normally a fan of floral based fragrances has this to say…

This fragrance immediately stood out and surprised me. I’m not normally a fan of florals but this Rose scent is an exception. It’s sensual and the musk and cedar work to ground the fragrance and give it a modern and striking edge that I don’t normally associate with floral based fragrance. I’m really enjoying it and will definitely be reaching for it again
