For those of you familiar with LA MER you will know that at the heart of their ethos is a desire to harness the healing energy of the ocean. And their love of the sun and the sea is particularly evident in this latest release, the limited-edition bronzing powder and lip and cheek glow that just arrived at our door…
What we think: First, let us appreciate the beautiful design of this gorgeous bronzing compact, its made up of a curated combination of radiant bronze, velvety blush and luminous highlighting shades. So there is something there for most skin tones and shades.
The bronzing powder contains the La Mer signature Miricle Broth as well as precious gemstones so the product is designed to give a treatment when you use it as well as a beautiful glow. To apply, you can either combine all shades and sweep across cheeks, forehead and nose for an all-over bronze or if you would prefer to contour you can opt to use the bronze shade under the cheekbones and jaw. You also have the option to apply the blush shade on the apples of the checks for a rosy flushed cheek look or you can apply the lightest shade to highlight cheeks and brow bones. This is a compact we will certainly be using in our next beauty shoot.
The lip and cheek glow softens lips and cheeks with a moisture-infused flush of colour. The dual-use strikes a cord with us, perfect for honeymoons and they travel bag since it can be used as both a blush and lip colour.
To apply, use your fingers to warm the surface of the stick which will provide optimal colour. Alternatively, for a more delicate application, you can layer on the cheeks with La Mers renewal oil. For lips, you can apply a sheer coat for a hint of refreshed colour or layer for a stronger colour.
Both products feel luxurious and nourishing to use and we think the elegant white and gold packaging feels very suited to the modern bride or those with an occasion of any sort.
