Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…

We are really simple people, we are down to earth and very easy going. Our favourite dinner place is a small hole in the wall Indian Restaurant in Los Angeles. Brian loves motorcycles, Porsches and leather jackets. I love vintage furniture, art and gardening.

How/where/when did you meet?

We met on Tinder! Our first date was at a small bar on 3rd street in October 2015.

What’s special about your relationship? What do you love most about each other?

Our relationship is special because we understand each other and compliment each other well. Brian is so calm and easy going it really helps me stay relaxed especially living in such a crazy city with crazy traffic like Los Angeles!

Have you faced any challenges you want to share with readers?

Designing our first piece of furniture together was a true test of our marriage. When you move in together with another person, combining each others belongings and style isn’t always easy. Brian likes minimalist modern and I like eclectic, vintage, Hollywood regency. But… we made it work and it came out so cool!

Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…

Brian planned to propose at Descanso Gardens, we drove all the way there and when we got there it was closed for a private event, then we went to have lunch at the gardens and they only had community style tables open. Brian didn’t want to sit with other people which I thought was kind of funny but I just went with it.

So we found a brunch place near by and the service was not the best. So we felt discouraged about the date day we had planned so we just went home. When we got home, we got settled in and as I came out of the kitchen he surprised me and got down on one knee and proposed right there. It was special because it was in my tiny studio apartment in Los Angeles where we had spent so much time together and it was intimate and personal.

What went to plan and what didn’t?

Needless to say, nothing went as planned but that’s life and Brian is so relaxed and easy going that it didn’t stop him from making the day special.

Tell us about your special day…was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…

We wanted it to be simple and meaningful. It took place at a small cottage in Laurel Canyon (Hollywood Hills). Since we met in Los Angeles and both love the city so much we wanted to keep it here. The cottage had so many stories and was the home of Axl Rose during his heyday of Guns and Roses. It was warm and full of charm. We fell in love the second we saw it. Styling was simple and elegant and my favourite details were the hand crafted wood tables and arch made by the home owner

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, is there a story?

My dress was from wild fox. Brian wore a leather jacket for our pictures that his friend custom designed.

What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?

One of the most memorable moments was reading our vows to each other on a mountain top overlooking Los Angeles. It was just us, personal, romantic, and pure magic.

What does being married or being in a union mean to you? And what is married life like so far?

Marriage is a commitment to each other through the good and bad. I think a lot of people think that going into marriage everything will be amazing all the time. That’s far from the truth, there will be good days and bad days and that’s what’s so beautiful about marriage. The commitment of standing by each other through all of that no matter what. Learning to grow together through all of life’s challenges and tribulations.
