Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…

We are two 23 years olds that love to laugh and never take life to seriously! We both currently work as disability support workers and couldn’t get more satisfaction out of helping these angels out if we tried! We like to think we are unique and don’t particularly ‘fit the mould’ but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

When we aren’t working or indulging in bad food! We both enjoy renovating our first home and creating a space that we can be at one. We are also happy parents to three little fur babies!

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…

Our day! Gosh where do I start. It was the most magical surreal day of my life. Eloping wasn’t a decision we took lightly but we knew it was both what we wanted and the day for us was about uniting at one and sharing those emotions with just us. We are very blessed to have supportive family so we knew that when the day was done and we broke the news they would be happy! (Don’t get me wrong- there was still nerves about spilling the beans!)

Brayden had been to NZ before & I always wanted to experience the snow so he thought it was a good opportunity to take me there. The only theme we had was love. As corny as it sounds that is what defines us and the day held the feeling perfectly! If I could change one thing about my day though it would have been to wear just one more layer of thermals!

Tell us about your main outfits:

Our outfits were us to a T! All we wanted was to create a day that wasn’t about the dollar value or the brands or the materialistic aspect of things, just about us! We had this plan from the start so the planning and shopping for the day was so much fun!

We splurged and spent a whopping $10 on our rings, got my dress second hand, used items we already had and so much more! And you want to know the best thing about it all?! Is we both had enough money to get a stunner meal on our way home from the shops! There is nothing wrong with having new, expensive things, nothing at all! It just isn’t us.

What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?

This question almost feels impossible to answer! The entire day was so special! The most memorable moment for me wasn’t our helicopter ride as such but the moment I stepped out of the helicopter and seen the blank canvas that was about to be forever marked in our lives. Words cannot come close to create the vision or the feeling of the sun beaming on the snow, or the feeling of walking on clouds and seeing the most breathtaking views I believe this world has to offer.

I’ll never forget it and that’s what makes me believe that was the most memorable time in the day.

Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together?

BE YOURSELVES! I cannot stress that enough, put down the phones, get off social media. Don’t loose your own individuality just to keep up with the trends. At the end of the day all you need is each other and there’s not a table setting, or cake in the world that could replace that.
