Real Wedding: Elisse & Andres – Photography by DallasKPhotography

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…

Elisse was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Andres was born in Mexico City, Mexico. Their lives crossed paths in San Diego, California where they now live. Their relationship is much like everyone else’s and happened when they least expected it. When they met and got to know each other, every moment together has been better than their last.

As they continue to grow alongside one another pursuing their own goals in life, they do it as lovers, friends, family, and team members. They are partners who dance to great music, comfort one another in shitty situations, laugh about stupid things, travel to new places but avoid museums, people watch, get through the daily grind, and so much more.

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…

Elisse and Andres eloped off the coast of Spain in the Balearic Islands, specifically the island of Mallorca. They were in a small and quaint town called Deia filled with olive groves, luscious mountains, with 180-degree views of the ocean. For how quaint the town was, it had a very grandiose feel to it. They stayed in a Spanish-style home in the middle of town. They woke up late morning, enjoyed a little bit of food and coffee, and started their special day. They got ready together, Elisse got her hair and makeup done, and Andres helped make the finishing touches on her wedding gown.

Sabrina and Dallas, their amazingly cool and creative photographers, spent 2-3 days exploring the island and scouting a place for them to exchange vows. The place they found was perfect. It was about 45-minutes along a windy road from where Elisse and Andres were staying. The car ride was prolonged by multiple stops and dry heaving from car sickness – a perfect recipe for embarrassment and laughter. To be clear, Elisse and Andres were the only ones who got sick – Sabrina and Dallas were completely fine.

When Elisse and Andres finally saw the spot Sabrina and Dallas scouted, that’s when everything became surreal. In those personal moments, every second felt like a minute, every turn took their breath away, and every word felt like a romance novel. It felt as intimate and genuine as they would have hoped. They exchanged vows privately.

Tell us about your main outfits:
Elisse wore a simple matte silk wedding dress. She also wore a lace choker. She designed and had both pieces made. Her shoes were Stuart Weitzman. Andres work a dark blue linen suit.

What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?

Everything.

Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together?
