It was love at first sight. We were on a terrace bar, introduced by an old childhood friend. From that very first meeting, I knew he was made for me. His voice, the whole world that he was offering to me, made me fall in love with him.
I won his heart through food: Dan tried some of my baking at an event and demanded to know who had made the cupcakes! After an awkward introduction, some hesitation on my end and persistence on Dan’s, we finally went on our first date.
How do you take a once-kitsch and tasteless treat and turn it into a visually dynamic and flavoursome sensation for weddings, launches and lavish dinner parties? We asked Jessica Mentis, aka The Jellyologist, who has been making events wobble with her weird and wonderful edible jelly art since 2015.
